The capacity building programme is focusing on identifying and developing greenhouse gas reduction projects in the district heating sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The programme is funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the autumn 2009 to 2010. Norsk Energi is implementing the project together with the local project partners CETEOR d.o.o. Sarajevo and Department for Thermal Engineering at University of Banja Luka, in close cooperation with Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations (MoFTER)

During the programme there have been 3 workshops for representatives from district heating companies, local authorities, relevant universities and local consultants. The participants are organized in project groups, each group working with development of Project Idea Notes (PINs) for a concrete CDM investment project.
